The memex every
AI agent shares.

One browser add-on. Works with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI, and whatever you switch to next. Your memory, your saved tasks, your reminders. They stick with you, not with the AI.

Your notes,
your reminders,
the things you taught it
stay with you.
Not with the AI.

Most AI tools forget everything about you the moment you try a different one. BrowserMemex sits in your browser. Every AI you connect to it reads from and adds to the same shared space.

Install it once. Hook up Claude Code today. Try Cursor next week. Use whichever new AI shows up the month after. Your stuff stays put.

What makes it different

One space. Every AI reads from it. None of them owns it.

01

Every fact, with its source.

When an AI learns something while browsing for you, it gets saved with the page it came from, when it was saved, and which AI saw it. Search it. Question it. Update it. Nothing gets lost. Nothing is a mystery.

  • Full-text search across everything saved
  • Every fact remembers where it came from
  • Facts know when they go stale ("valid 5 days", "until Mar 12")
  • Passwords in URLs get stripped before anything is saved

Show one AI how. The next one already knows.

Do a task with one AI. Save what it did. The next AI you use can run the same steps. Even a totally different one. The first one teaches the next.

  • One click to save what just worked
  • Plug new inputs in with ${inputs.*}
  • Any connected AI can run it via memex_skills_run
  • Share saved skills with someone else if you want

Different jobs, different spaces.

Keep work and life separate. Each profile has its own memory, its own reminders, its own saved tasks. Switch with one click. The AI you're using shows up in the right space.

  • Profiles don't see each other's stuff
  • Connected AIs only see the profile you're in
  • Block any site from being remembered, per profile
  • Export a profile to back it up or move it

How it works

Two minutes to set up.

  1. 01

    Install the add-on

Add it to Chrome or Firefox. A side panel opens. No signup. Nothing leaves your computer.

  2. 02

    Connect an AI

Open the Agents tab. Pick the AI you use. Copy a small bit of text into its settings. Restart it. The new memex.* tools show up.

  3. 03

    Use it. It fills up.

Highlight any text to save it. Run a task once, then save it as a skill. Set it to run on a schedule. Every AI you connect can see what's there.

  4. 04

Try a new AI. Keep everything.

Hook up a second one. Ask it about something the first one figured out. It already knows. That's the whole idea.

From the connected AI

What you can actually ask it.

  • memex_memory_query

"What did Cursor figure out about the Postgres upgrade yesterday?"

  • memex_skills_run

Re-run the saved "Triage Linear" skill on this morning's tickets.

  • memex_tasks_create

Every Monday at 9am, check the status page and post a summary to #eng-ops.

  • memex_memory_write

Remember: the v2.4 design review is on the 12th at 14:00.

  • memex_profile_active

Which profile am I in? Switch me to Research before we keep going.

  • memex_skills_list

Show me what the team has already automated for this project.

Common questions

Straight answers.

How is this different from the memory my AI tool already has?

AI memory disappears the moment you try a different AI. BrowserMemex sits in your browser instead. Every AI you connect reads from and writes to the same place. Try a new AI tomorrow. You don't lose anything.

Where does my data live?

On your computer. BrowserMemex saves everything in your browser. Nothing gets uploaded. If we add cloud sync later, it'll be optional and encrypted.

Which AIs does it work with?

Anything that supports MCP (the Model Context Protocol). One-click setup for Claude Code, Cursor, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, VS Code, Windsurf, Cline, Roo Code, and Amp. New tools that support MCP work too. Just a quick config.

What about sites I don't want it to remember?

Block any site, per profile. Passwords in URLs get stripped out before anything is saved. You can also turn saving off entirely for a profile.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Saving, searching, running skills, and scheduled tasks all work without internet. The AIs you connect still need their own connection to talk to their provider.
